Vehicle Tracking System
One of my friends company provide this Vehicle Tracking System which is very useful for the Shipping Liners, Shipping Agents and Transporters who are all involved in Shipping Transport and Container Transport.
Ennovasys is a Chennai, India based company that operates primarily in the Indian market. Ennovasys is an enterprise software company providing Enterprise Mobility Solutions for large and medium sized companies using location based technologies like RFID, GPS and Mobile. Enterprises spend huge resources due to lack of automation in their business processes. Ennovasys helps these enterprises to achieve the best productivity by identifying the right solution for the right situation.
iLogistics is a GPS/GPRS based fleet tracking solution that helps companies save fuel cost, reduce manual labor cost, and increase process efficiencies. A GPS device will be attached to each automobile that gets tracked. iLogistics system communicated with the cellular network (GPRS or CDMA) to collect the data from these devices. Once the data is collected and stored in our central server, it can be extended to derive various business value as well as passed on to ERP systems.
Apart from the location various other information like speed, geo-fencing, mileage reporting etc are also provided by the iLogistics system to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction while dramatically reducing overhead expenses such as fuel, maintenance, and unnecessary overtime.
This system is of great value to the fleet managers because it enables them to view real time location of the vehicles by looking at the area map on his PC / mobile phone.
A fleet manager may also take control of the fleet through geo-fencing (by demarcating specific geographical area for a vehicle on the computer screen) and if the vehicle violates the defined route, he can have the information.
Information retrieved about the actual operation of the fleet is summarized through system generated reports that should help in improving management decisions for cost reduction and increased profitability of the business.
It is known that fuel costs account for 28-30% of most fleet budgets. This, combined with the volatile cost of fuel, makes reducing fuel consumption one of the most important issues faced by fleet managers. In some cases theft of fuel adds to this problem. Most of the companies are implementing more scientific real-time based systems to handle this issue.
The three main components that help to improve the overall efficiencies of fleet management system are
Idling Monitoring - Just sixty minutes of idling time is equal to 80 to 120 minutes of driving time. So, reducing the idle time by just 10% can result in a 10 to 20% increase in fuel efficiency. Idling monitoring allows fleet managers to receive alerts every time a vehicle idles past the allowed amount, with this information fleet managers can identify and correct wasteful driver behavior.
Speed Monitoring - Excessive speed has a negative impact on fuel consumption. Reducing driver speed can lower fuel consumption up to 14%. Speed monitoring (Rapid acceleration and Hard braking) allows fleet managers to track instances when drivers reach excessive speeds and they receive speed alerts when drivers surpass the limit. Fleet managers can also access information such as the length of the speeding event, the top speed reached, and the location where the event occurred, similar to idling monitoring.
Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL)-Tracking fleet vehicles in Real-Time. Fleet managers know the location of all vehicles which allows them to dispatch the closest one to a job. This eliminates travelling unnecessary kilometers and saves fuel. In some situations like accidents, the incident can be identified and can be assisted by the other vehicle moving closest to the particular location.
iLogistics fleet Management System allows operational control over fuel consumption of an entire fleet of industrial vehicles by tracking their fuel levels.
Fleet management technology monitors these events. The gathered data from the vehicle is recorded and analyzed; the information can provide effective cost, reduced over-time, administrative cost and environmentally-friendly benefits.
Benefits of our applications include:
1. Reduced Fuel Expenses
2. Decreased Overtime
3. Ability to Monitor the Speed of Your Drivers
4. Use as a Virtual Time Stamp
5. More Control Over Day-To-Day Activities
6. Lower Insurance Costs: 5-15%
7. Increased Driver Productivity
8. Improved Customer Service
9. Reduced Response Time
10. Validation of Service Calls
11. More accurate Billing
